I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
